A fourth-year kinesiology major, Erica Fryer totaled 55 saves in backstopping the No. 2 nationally-ranked Varsity Blues women's hockey team to an OUA semifinal series victory over the Guelph Gryphons this past week.

The Amherstburg, Ont., native made 26 saves in a dominant 4-1 Game 1 victory on Wednesday night at Varsity Arena. She followed that up with a 17-save performance in a narrow 2-1 loss at Guelph on Saturday afternoon.

Fryer helped the Blues seal the series victory with a 12-save shut out performance in Game 3 on Sunday evening. Her 1.01 goals against average currently leads all goaltenders through the postseason.
