Down 0-2 on the road, Heather Bansley’s career-high 33 kills, 24 digs and five serving aces led the Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team in a rallying effort to tie the game at 2-2 before falling in the tiebreaking set versus the Brock Badgers on Friday, November 27 in St. Catharines, Ont.

 

A member of Canada’s beach volleyball team and a two-time CIS all-Canadian, Bansley was named the Varsity Blues player of the match for her 38-point performance.

 

The Waterdown, Ont. native is currently ranked first in the OUA, averaging 4.15 kills per game.  An English and linguistics major, Bansley is also ranked among the top five players in the province in total kills, serving aces, serving aces per game, digs per game, points and points per game.
