Matt Campagna, a third-year forward from Mississauga, Ont., scored one goal and added four assists in helping the Blues go 1-1 at home this past weekend.
The Mississauga, Ont., native had a hand in all of U of T's goals in Toronto's 4-3 overtime win over Ryerson on Saturday night. After tallying three assists on three goals in regulation, Campagna skated end-to-end to set up fellow Varsity Blue Willy Paul for the game-winner just 20 seconds into overtime. It sealed Toronto's seventh win in the past nine games and second over Ryerson in as many weeks.
An employment relations major, Campagna also scored one goal in Toronto's narrow 4-3 loss to the No. 8 Guelph Gryphons on Friday night. It marks the second straight Varsity Blues athlete of the week honour for Campagna. He is riding a four-game point streak, having scored four goals and added six assists in the past two weekends.
