Second-year standout Aleksa Gold won three individual races in leading the No. 2 nationally-ranked Varsity Blues women’s swimming team to a dominate dual-meet victory over the No. 9 Western Mustangs this past Saturday (Jan. 11).
 
A life science major from Toronto, Gold touched the wall first in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, as well as the 100 freestyle.
 
The Blues topped the Mustangs 86-54 on the day, with gold leading the charge in her preparation to qualify for the upcoming Olympic Games on the Estonian national team.
