Third-year veteran Jonathan Lai earned OUA male most valuable player honours as the Varsity Blues badminton team claimed the 2018-19 OUA championship banner.
 
The now two-time OUA all-star went 5-1 in men's doubles action, outscoring opponents 267-193. A life science major from Toronto, Lai also paired up with teammate Bethany So to go a perfect 3-0 and outscore opponents 126-58 in mixed doubles action.
