University of Toronto Athletics

Five-time OUA all-star and three-time U SPORTS all-Canadian Matt Dans has not only excelled in the pool and classroom, but as an active member of the community as well. A computer science major from Toronto, Dans has been a member of five OUA championship and one U SPORTS national championship winning teams.
 
The team co-captain earned academic all-Canadian honours in 2014-15 and was awarded the New College admission scholarship in 2013-14. Dans served as the Varsity Board co-president in 2018-19 and was a driving force behind U of T's first-ever Pride Game. He also served on the Restricted Funds Committee and the Council of Athletics and Recreation in 2018-19.
 
Dans is a volunteer with the Canadian Olympic Committee's ONE TEAM, promoting inclusion for LGBTQ+ athletes, and is an active ambassador for the Blues Buddy Up program.
