A third-year utility from Calgary, Rhianna Wood was named the NCWP most valuable player as the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s water polo team won their sixth straight provincial title this past weekend (Nov. 30-Dec. 2) at Varsity Pool.

Wood co-led the Blues with four goals as Toronto defeated the Carleton Ravens 14-5 in Saturday’s semifinal showdown.

The biology major followed that up with one goal in a dominant 12-2 victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees in the gold-medal match on Sunday. Wood also earned her first career NCWP all-star honour.
