Fourth-year veteran Euan Scoffield earned most valuable player honours in leading the host University of Toronto Varsity Blues to their third straight provincial title at the 2018 OUA men’s water polo championship.

Scoffield led all players with four goals as Toronto topped the No. 2 seeded Queen’s Gaels, 7-6, in the gold-medal match on Sunday evening. The history and East Asian studies major from Ottawa scored one goal in each of the first two quarters, while adding two in the third quarter to help Toronto seal the narrow victory.

A now three-time OUA all-star, Scoffield also scored one goal in U of T’s 8-6 semifinal victory over the McMaster Marauders on Saturday afternoon.
