Fourth-year right side hitter Alina Dormann totaled 31 points and 13 digs as the No. 9 Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team defeated the Nipissing Lakers and York Lions 3-0 on the road this weekend (Nov. 23-25).
A life science major, Dormann led all players with 15.5 points off of 14 kills, one ace and one assisted block, while also adding a team-high nine digs as the Blues blanked the Lakers on Friday night in North Bay, Ont.
The Ottawa native posted a near-identical stat line as U of T shut out the York Lions on Sunday afternoon. Dormann totaled 15.5 points off of a game-high 14 kills, one ace and one assisted block, and had four digs in the 3-0 victory.
Dormann averaged 5.2 points per set to help the Blues close out the fall semester with a 7-2 record.
