Fourth-year sprinter Alex Lau claimed two silver medals in helping the Varsity Blues men’s track and field team to a fourth-place finish at the 2018 U SPORTS championships this past weekend in Windsor.

Lau opened the championships with a second-place finish in the men’s 60m dash on Thursday, crossing the finish line in 6.85 seconds to match his U of T record time.

The Master’s of environmental science student then ran the second leg of Toronto’s 4x200 relay team, which finished second in 1:28.11.
