Andrew Hunt, a fifth-year goalie from Surrey, B.C., posted back-to-back shutouts making a total of 46 saves to help the men’s hockey team pick up two crucial victories and keep their playoff hopes alive.

The economics major stopped all 23 shots the Laurier Golden Hawks threw at him, leading the Blues to a 1-0 victory on Friday night.

He followed up that performance the next evening (Saturday) on graduating senior’s night. In his last regular season home game, Hunt was perfect versus the Waterloo Warriors. The fifth-year goalie recorded 23 saves to shutout the Warriors 2-0 to extend U of T’s winning streak to three games.

Thanks to a four-point weekend, the Blues are currently tied with the Windsor Lancers for the final playoff spot in the OUA West division with two games remaining.
