Kylie Masse, a fourth-year kinesiology major from LaSalle, Ont., won three individual races in leading the Varsity Blues women’s swimming team to a 356-279 dual-meet victory over the Western Mustangs on Saturday night in London, Ont.

Masse, the 2017 world 100 backstroke champion and world record holder in that event, won the 50 and 100 freestyle races, as well as the 200 backstroke event. Her times in all three victories were faster than those of the gold medalists at last year’s OUA championships.

Masse and the Blues are gearing up for the 2018 OUA championships, February 8-10, before U of T plays host to the 2018 U SPORTS national championships, February 22-24, at Varsity Pool.
