A third-year right side hitter from Ottawa, Alina Dormann notched a game-high 18 points in leading the Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team to a dominant 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-14) victory over the Trent Excalibur on Friday night.
 
The two-time reigning OUA East player of the year tallied 12 kills, four aces and two blocks, while adding 12 digs on the night.
 
A life sciences major, Dormann leads all players in the OUA in points per set (5.3) and serving aces per set (0.83) in the early goings of the 2017-18 regular season.
