A fifth-year midfielder from Sarnia, Ont., Nicki Parkes led the OUA with three goals and one assist as the Varsity Blues earned six points in Week 1 action of women’s soccer.

The chemical engineering major scored two goals in Toronto’s 4-1 clean-sheet victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday afternoon at Varsity Stadium.

Parkes also kicked off the season with one goal and one assist in the Blues 3-1 win versus Nipissing on Saturday.
