Nikola Stakic tallied two goals and added one assist as the Varsity Blues men’s soccer team opened the 2017 season with two big wins at home this weekend.

The sophomore defender notched the game-winning-goal off a penalty kick in the 82nd minute as Toronto topped the Nipissing Lakers 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Stakic, a kinesiology major, followed that up with one goal and one assist in the Blues 3-0 victory over the Laurentian Voyageurs on Sunday.
