2016 Olympic bronze medalist Kylie Masse won six gold medals and set four records in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s swimming team to their fourth straight OUA championship title this past weekend at Varsity Pool.

Masse swept the backstroke events, bettering her own 2016 records in the 50 and 200-metre events, while also setting a new mark in the 200 individual medley. She anchored Toronto’s 400 freestyle relay team to a championship record, while also helping Toronto’s 200 medley relay team to a gold medal.

The third-year kinesiology major from LaSalle, Ont., was named the OUA female swimmer of the year for the third consecutive season, while also earning the Dr. Jeno Tihanyi Award for IM Excellence for the second time in her career. She helped Toronto amass 1067 points, more than double than the silver medalist Western Mustangs (519.5).
