2016 Olympic bronze medalist Kylie Masse won two races in convincing fashion in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's swimming team to a dominant win over the Western Mustangs in dual meet action on Saturday at Varsity pool.
 
Masse took a break from her backstroke speciality, winning both the 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle events. She broke the meet records and met the U Sports standard in both, but that wasn't all.
 
The third-year kinesiology major set new Varsity Blues records in both events, bettering Olympian Jen Button's 2002 record in the 200 butterfly and five-time OUA all-star Bridget Coley's mark in the 400 freestyle.
 
Both of Masse's times were better than those of the 2016 U Sports national champions in each event.
