Fourth-year veteran Sacha Smart led Toronto’s men at the prestigious Armory Invitational this past weekend in New York.

Smart, a kinesiology major from Toronto, placed second overall in the men’s 1000m race in a time of 2:24.75, behind only NCAA 800-metre champion Brand McBride of Mississippi State. That time ranks Smart fourth in the CIS at the midway point of the season.
