Third-year midfielder Nicki Parkes scored three goals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s soccer team to a 1-0-1 record in Kingston this weekend.

A native of Sarnia, Ont., Parkes scored in the 16th minute for what would be Toronto’s lone goal in a 1-1 draw versus the Queen’s Gaels on Saturday.

The chemical engineering major followed that up by scoring both of U of T’s goals in a 2-1 victory over the RMC Paladins on Sunday. Parkes opened the scoring in the 7th minute and added another goal, the eventual game-winner, in the 57th minute of the match.

Parkes now leads all players in the OUA East division with four goals in three games.
