Second-year University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's track and field standout Gabriela Stafford won two individual titles at the 34th annual Can-Am Classic this past weekend (Jan. 9-10) in Windsor, Ont.

A physical science major from Toronto, Stafford won the 1500m race in a time of 4:22.36, breaking a 29-year-old record (4:24.18) by almost a full two seconds and meeting the CIS standard by over seven seconds.

Stafford also placed first in the women's 600m with a time of 1:33.38 and helped one of U of T's 4x800 relay teams to a second-place finish, breaking the previous meet record well below the CIS standard.
