Fifth-year left side hitter Charlotte Sider notched 26 kills, 29 digs, four blocks and two aces in leading the now 7-0 No. 5 University of Toronto Varsity Blues to two big wins in OUA women’s volleyball action this past weekend.

A native of Ottawa, Sider led all players with 16 points, tallying 12 kills, two aces and two blocks as the Blues defeated the York Lions 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. The win marked Toronto’s first regular season victory over their cross town rivals since January, 2010.

A fourth-year kinesiology major, Sider also notched a game-high 16 points, recording 14 kills, 10 digs and two blocks as the Blues defeated the Nipissing Lakers, 3-0, on Saturday in North Bay.

The three-time OUA all-star and 2014 CIS all-Canadian ranks second in the OUA with 3.73 kills per set so far this season.

The Varsity Blues are currently 7-0, atop the OUA standings, and are one of two teams in the CIS that remain undefeated (UNB, 4-0).
