Fifth-year striker Mario Kovacevic scored two goals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues to three big wins in OUA men’s soccer action this week.

Kovacevic scored the game-winning goal as the Blues defeated the Trent Excalibur 3-0 on Wednesday night. He went onto notch the game-winner in a 5-0 rout of Laurentian on Sunday in Sudbury. The Woodbridge, Ont., native added one shot in U of T’s 2-1 victory over Nipissing on Saturday.

With the wins, the biomedical engineering major helped Toronto clinch second place in the OUA East division and a first round playoff bye.
