Fourth-year veteran Fiona Callender won three medals in leading the University of Toronto Varsity Blues women’s track and field team to a second-place finish at the 2014 OUA championships this past weekend at York University.

The kinesiology major helped U of T to a gold-medal finish in the 4x800 relay on Day 1 of competition. Callender followed that up with a second-place finish in the 600m in a time of 1:32.50 and capped off the meet with another gold-medal performance in the 4x400 relay.

An OUA first team all-star and Ottawa native, Callender and the Blues finished tied for second with the Western Mustangs with 136 points each, 14.5 points behind the champion Guelph Gryphons.
