Rookie sensation Khamica Bingham won the OUA women’s 60m title in record-breaking time in leading the Varsity Blues track and field team to a silver medal at the 2013 OUA championships in Windsor.

The Brampton, Ont., native ran OUA record times in the heats, semifinals and finals, tying the University of Toronto record of 7.41 seconds to claim the gold medal.

A first-year humanities major, Bingham then ran the fastest leg (23.9) on Toronto’s 4x200 winning relay team to earn her second gold medal of the meet. She was named an OUA first team all-star for her efforts.

MBNA believes that with personal drive and the right kind of support, someone who thrives on the playground can one day ascend the podium.
