Third-year swimming standout Vanessa Treasure won three individual and one relay gold medal as the Varsity Blues met the OUA defending champion Western Mustangs in dual meet action on Saturday (Dec. 1).
The Mississauga, Ont., native won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:12.03, a full 1.5 seconds ahead of the next swimmer. Treasure also placed first in the 200 breaststroke (2:34.25), five seconds ahead of Western’s Emily Williams.
As the CIS defending champion, Treasure easily won the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:47.04. The third-year kinesiology major also swam the second leg of the gold-medalist 400 medley relay team.
