Sophomore Harrison Carmichael recorded seven RBI in leading the Varsity Blues baseball team to the final playoff berth in OUA baseball action this past week.
On the heels of an up and down season, the defending champion Varsity Blues entered the final weekend of the regular season with playoff destiny in their own hands.
A native of Charlottetown, Carmichael rose to the occasion, leading the Blues offensively in a double header win against Waterloo last Friday and a resounding 15-0 victory over Queen’s on Saturday.
The second-year third baseman led the Blues with two RBI in each of Toronto’s wins over Waterloo on Friday. He again led the Blues with three RBI and four runs on two hits as U of T dominated Queen’s on Saturday.
