Third-year Varsity Blues runner Tamara Jewett was crowned the women’s cross country champion at the 2011 OUA championships on Saturday, October 29 in Ottawa.

The Toronto native captured the OUA women’s individual title as well as MVP honours with a time of 17:33.5, 13 seconds ahead of second place runner Genevieve Lalonde of the Guelph Gryphons.

The fourth-year history and literary studies student was also named an OUA all-star and qualifies for the 2011 CIS championship on Saturday, November 12 in Quebec City.
