Stefan Srnic earned the individual silver medal to lead the Varsity Blues to an impressive second-place finish at the 2010 OUA men’s tennis championship this past weekend.

 

Srnic, who was also recognized as a 2010 OUA all-star, defeated two ranked opponents and did not drop one set on his way to the individual championship match.

 

The third-year economics student got past No. 3 Michael Tousignant of the Montreal Carabins 7-6, 6-3 in quarter-final action before defeating York’s Nir Shimonyi, another player who was ranked in the top eight, in the semifinals 6-4, 6-2.
