The Sauks sisters capped off a phenomenal season with an OUA gold medal in the lightweight women’s double, leading the Varsity Blues women’s rowing team to a fourth-place finish at the 2010 provincial championships in St. Catharines, Ont., this weekend.

 

Jen and Kate Sauks of Owen Sound, Ont., dominated the finals, finishing with a time of 7:53.7, almost five seconds ahead of the second-place Brock Badgers.

 

The duo also went on to lead the heavyweight women’s eight to a bronze medal, crossing the finish line in 7:04.8.
