O’HANLON DRAFTED BY CWHL’S BRAMPTON THUNDER

Former University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's hockey captain Kelly O'Hanlon was selected by the Brampton Thunder in the fifth round of last night's Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL) draft.

O'Hanlon played five seasons with the Blues (2009-14), captaining the team for the past two years. The Markham, Ont., native led U of T in points in her final two years, and amassed 26 goals and 54 assists for 80 points in 130 games as a Varsity Blue.

O'Hanlon helped the Blues to a fourth-place finish at the 2013 CIS championship, and led the team to the OUA semifinals for the first time since 2008 this past season.
