Cadieux brings with him a wealth of experience within the racquet sports community, highlighted by his international work with badminton. Prior to joining the Varsity Blues, Cadieux has served as a national coach for Badminton Canada since 2013, coaching both senior and junior national teams at various international competitions including the World University Badminton championships in 2012 and 2014 and the 2013 World University Games.
His international coaching experience dates back to 2006 when he first served as the head coach for the U16 Canadian national team at the Junior Pan Am badminton championships in Campinas, Brazil. Cadieux would continue to lead teams at both Pan Am and World Championships.
Cadieux has also maintained a strong presence in the Greater Toronto Area serving as the head badminton professional at the Badminton & Racquet Club of Toronto since 1999. In this role, he handles program design, leading the development of both adult and junior programs to transform the GTA hub into a top destination for learning. He has helped produce 44 junior provincial titles, 12 junior national titles and 15 junior Pan Am medals.
Cadieux is a Level 4 NCCP certified coach with a diploma in high performance coaching from the National Coaching Institute. He has also recently volunteered with the 2015 Pan Am Games hosted in Toronto serving as a badminton competition supervisor.
