Samir Chahine joins the Varsity Blues coaching staff in 2009 with an extensive football resume. Samir has been a line coach with the Varsity Villanova College football team since 2005 and was the head coach and offensive coordinator for the Bergamo Lions football club of the Italian football league in 2008.
Samir, a three-time CIS all-Canadian (1995-97) while playing at McGill University, was the 11th pick in the 1998 CFL draft. He played for the Edmonton Eskimos (1998-01), Toronto Argonauts (2001), Hamilton Ti-Cats (2002), Calgary Stampeders (2003), and the Ottawa Renegades (2004-05) during his eight-year CFL career.
Samir currently lives in Toronto and teaches at Villanova College.
