Jillian Svensson became the Varsity Blues outreach, promotions, and community partnerships coordinator in November 2021.

Svensson has worked in professional sports for over 20 years. She worked at MLSE for 13 years and managed the Raptors players, Leafs Fund and MLSE Foundation. She served as Vice President of Business Development for You Can Play, where she worked with every professional sports league in North America building out their 2SLGBTQ+ initiatives and outreach. Prior to joining U of T, she served as the Executive Director of SheIS, a non-profit that works with women’s sports leagues to grow and develop their businesses and she also served as a consultant for Canada Basketball.

Svensson is in charge of the outreach and promotion of the Varsity Blues. She works with internal and external partners to bring fans to see the games and, once they are at the game, show them the full Varsity Blues experience.
