Campbell MacNeill was hired as the Varsity Blues women's rugby head coach in April, 2017.
MacNeill joins the Blues after two seasons as the Toronto Nomads women's head coach. He has also served as the Nomads junior technical director, as well as an assistant coach with the St. Michael's College senior rugby team. In 2016, MacNeill was a resource coach for the York Lions women's rugby team, the Ontario women's under-18 team and the North Toronto College women's team.
What is more impressive is MacNeill's international resume. He was the Easter Island Matamu A Rugby 7's head coach in Chile, while also serving as a head coach of the Freyberg High School team and the Kia Toa Colts, and a resource coach with the Varsity Vixens in New Zealand.
He is a Level 2 qualified rugby coach within the New Zealand Rugby Union and has completed World Rugby modules in the rugby ready program, key factor analysis, function role analysis, first aid in rugby, concussion management, the laws of the game and his pre level 1 and 2 strength and conditioning modules.
MacNeill holds a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise with a major of sports management and coaching from Massey University in New Zealand.
