Mike stepped into the head coaching position of the Varsity Blues in 2005 while he was a student at OISE. Mike has been wrestling and coaching for 30 years. Mike did his high school wrestling in the Toronto area winning a gold medal in the OFSSAA Championships. He then headed to Simon Fraser University where he completed an undergraduate degree and collected a 2nd place finish at the NAIA championships. He was a silver medallist in the National Greco-Roman Championships and a bronze in Freestyle. During Mike’s time at SFU he became the SFU All-time Record Holder for most wins by pin.
