A former OUA champion during her time with the Varsity Blues (1987-92), Laura Inward is a four-time Canadian champion and brings a wealth of knowledge from both the national and international stage.
A participant at eight FIVB events, including two world championships (1997, 2000), Inward was a gold medalist at the 2005 and 2009 world masters championships and has consistently ranked among the top-10 teams in Canada. She is a NCCP level 3 certified beach volleyball coach and most recently headed the CAN1 women’s team at the 2009 under-21 world championships in Blackpool, England.
Inward has coached Team Ontario to a Canada Games bronze medal and an under-21 gold medal in 2009. She continues to provide ongoing mentorship for various national teams through Volleyball Canada to this day.
Inward is married to Varsity Blues men’s volleyball head coach John Barrett and is the proud mother of two boys, Jack and Marcus.
