Biography
High School: Named the most valuable player on the track and field and cross country teams...named the athlete of the year...received the Karry scholarship.
International Experience: Represented Canada at the 2016 U20 world track and field championships...earned two fifth-place finishes in the 1500m and 4x400 relay at the 2019 FISU Summer Universiade in Naples, Italy.
Varsity: Named U of T's female rookie of the year in 2016-17....named U of T's T-Holders' female athlete of the year and the OUA female athlete of the year across all sports in 2019-20.

Personal: Older sister, Gabriela, is also a member of the Varsity Blues track and field teams and competed at the 2016 Olympic Games... father, James, was a member of the Varsity Blues cross country team and represented Canada at the world championships four times....aunt, Sara Gardner, was a member of the Varsity Blues and represented Canada at the 1992 world cross country championships...Lucia volunteers to help serve breakfast at the Lawyers Feed the Hungry...helps fundraise for cancer research with Light the Night and organizing events such as food drives and toy drives with Free the Children.
