Biography

The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Arianna Malcolm to the women's track and field team for the 2025-26 season.

"When I first visited the campus in grade 10, I was overwhelmed with a sense of belonging," described Malcolm. "The moment I stepped into a practice and met the track team, I felt an unspoken connection. It wasn’t just about the incredible academic opportunities, it was the chance to be surrounded by people who shared my passion and drive. At that moment, I knew U of T was where I could truly thrive, both academically and on the track."

A 5-foot-1 sprinter from Mississauga, Malcolm joins the Blues via Applewood Heights Secondary School and the Motown Athletics Club.

With her high school track team, Malcolm has qualified for the OFSAA Championships in each of the last three years competing in both the 100m and 200m. Additionally, she has earned MVP honours for the track team in each of the last three seasons, receiving the award as both a Junior and Senior athlete.

While competing under the Motown Athletics Ciub banner, Malcolm has earned Top 20 finishes in the 60m at the U20 Indoor Championships, and has traveled for several high-performance meets including the New Balance and Adidas National event and Michigan High School Invitational.

An honour roll student throughout her high school career, Malcolm has received several academic awards including in mathematics and leadership. The academic distinction recipient is interested in pursuing STEM topics, beginning her U of T academic career in the life sciences program.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
