High School/Club: Earned team MVP honours with her high school team after helping lead the squad to city championships in both 2022 and 2023... earned a Top 5 finish in the 200m breaststroke at the Canadian Swimming Nationals, while also reaching the 200m breaststroke junior final at the 2024 Canadian Olympic Trials.

"Sonia is a breaststroke specialist, so she will be a tremendous asset to our squad," said Varsity Blues head coach Byron MacDonald. "She lover her visit in September and as a top student, she knew U of T was the place for her."
