Club: Captured medals at the Canada Summer Games as a member of Team Alberta, along with medaling at both the provincial and western championships...was a finalist in the junior category at the Canadian Olympic Trials and placed Top 5 at the Canadian National Championships...received numerous club awards and holds several club records.

"Abbi was identified as one of our key recruits to sign as she has the ability to score a ton of points with her great versatility," said U of T swimming head coach Byron MacDonald. "And with her being our fourth recruit from Alberta, and sixth member of the team from the province, I guess we can say there is a pipeline for swimmers from Alberta to Toronto."
 
"Her strength is IM; but she is also well ranked in the fly and backstroke, plus she has freestyle times that can help relays and could blossom into an individual event for her," said Varsity Blues assistant head coach Linda Kiefer. "And once she visited the campus and we got to know her, we all felt that she would fit in great with our team."
