Jessy Kapitany is back for her second season as the Varsity Blues goalkeeping coach. Her successful intercollegiate goalkeeping career as the captain of UWO included two OUA championships, recognition as a second team OUA all-star in 2004 and the “UWO Athlete of the Semester” by the London Gazette. She continues to hold the UWO goalkeeping record for all time goals-against average.
After graduating from Western with an honours degree in Kinesiology, Jessy joined the coaching staff at Fanshawe College for two successful seasons with Havaris and Clarke in 2005 and 2006, and led her London City Women’s team to a provincial championship in 2007. She is a certified OSA Level 3 community coach and has worked with several teams in the London area as well.
When not on the field with the Blues, Jessy works full time as a police officer.
