Biography

High School: Won the coaches unsung hero award in 2005-07, 2010...named the MVP on the Varsity hockey team in 2008 and won the athletic award in 2010...also was a member of the Varsity track and field team and won the CISAA championship in long and triple jump.

Varsity:
2014-15: Played in 19 regular season and all five playoff games...ranked third in the OUA with a .938 save percentage... recorded three regular season shut outs...notched a season-high 35 saves versus Nipissing on Nov. 22...held a .932 save percentage in the playoffs...named an OUA second team all-star...won the OUA Marion Hilliard award, which honours excellence in a student-athlete in hockey, academics and community involvement.

2013-14: Played in 19 regular season and all six playoff games...led the OUA and CIS with a .948 save percentage...recorded five regular season shut outs...notched a regular season-high 34 saves in a 3-1 win over Windsor on Nov. 2...recorded a season-high 35 saves and first career playoff shut out in a 3-0 Game 2 semifinal win over Laurier on Feb. 21...named an OUA first team all-star and CIS first team all-Canadian...won the OUA and CIS Marion Hilliard award, which honours excellence in a student-athlete in hockey, academics and community involvement...named the U of T female athlete of the year.

2012-13: Played in 15 regular season games...recorded a 2.66 GAA and .916 save percentage...recorded two shut outs versus Queen's (Oct. 6) and versus Ryerson (Nov. 25)...made a regular season-high 47 saves versus Queen's on Oct. 6...became the first female goalie in the CIS to be credited with a goal versus Windsor on Oct. 20...played in 4-of-5 playoff games...posted a career-high 53 saves in a 1-0 overtime loss to the eventual CIS champion Montreal Carabins to open the national tournament on March 7...led all goalies at the CIS championship in minutes played, shots against and saves. 

2011-12: Played in 13 games...recorded a 2.37 GAA and a .926 save percentage...recorded one shut out vs UOIT on Nov. 13...made a season-high 48 saves at Windsor on Feb. 4. 

2010-11: Played in 18 games... recorded two shutouts, a 2.13 GAA and a .933 save percentage...made a season-high 46 saves versus Windsor (Nov. 20) named the OUA athlete of the week after combining for 71 saves versus Windsor and Western...named to both the OUA and CIS all-rookie teams.

Personal: Actively involved in mentoring young goalies throughout various organizations in the GTA...member of the Latvian community and assisting with the Senior's centre...Has been involved with charitable organizations including Children's Aid at Christmas and the Ronald McDonald house.
