2025-26 Women's Ice Hockey Recruiting Class
Biography
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Eden Gowing to the women's hockey program for the 2025-26 season.
“I chose the University of Toronto because of its beautiful campus, strong academics, and the sense of teamwork and community," said Gowing. "The team environment is welcoming and supportive, while also being competitive which pushes everyone to achieve their best."
A 5-foot-2 forward from Caledon, Gowing joins the Blues via Orangeville District Secondary School and the Burlington Jr. Barracudas.
A versatile athlete, Gowing was named both ice hockey and field hockey team MVP for her teams at Orangeville District, additionally garnering the senior athlete of the year award. Meanwhile, with the Barracudas she registered 30 points from 10 goals and 20 assists in 40 games during the 2024-25 campaign.
An honour roll student throughout her high school career, Gowing is interested in studying kinesiology at the University of Toronto beginning this fall.
Students who sign a letter of intent and commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
