2026-27 Women's Ice Hockey Roster
Biography
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Abby Carr to the women's hockey program for the 2026-27 season.
"I chose the University of Toronto because it gives me the opportunity to pursue a degree that I am passionate about while continuing to follow my passion for hockey," said Carr. "I am excited to challenge myself at one of the top universities in Canada and be part of such a competitive and welcoming environment. I know U of T will allow me to grow both on-and-off the ice, and I can’t wait to be part of such an amazing program.”
A 5-foot-5 defence from Toronto, Carr joins the Blues via Tanenbaum C.H.A.T. and Leaside Jr. Wildcats.
Adept at providing additional offence from the blueline, Carr led the 2024-25 Jr. Wildcats in points and tallied the most goals among all defence in 2025-26. This carries into her performance with her high school team, helping the girl's hockey team team qualify for OFSAA, while receiving team MVP honours twice. An exceptional all-around athlete, she has also competed in flag football and badminton, earning Senior Athlete of the Year in her most recent seasons.
Having achieved honour roll in high school, Carr will be studying within the Rotman Commerce program at U of T.
Students who sign a letter of intent and commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
