Susan Baird became head coach of the Varsity Blues curling program during the fall of 2024. She previously joined the Blues coaching staff as an assistnat and associate head coach in 2021-22, bringing with her over 40 years of curling experience, playing at the club, provincial and national levels, and 10 years of coaching experience, holding a strong background in mechanics and strategy.

Baird is currently the vice president of Dixie Curling Club in Mississauga, Ont. She is a Curling Ontario level 3-competition coach and has served as a clinic team coach for Curling Ontario for the past three years.

She also served as Loyola High School’s coach from 2015-20, helping with basic and intermediate instruction and leading athletes through practices, games and strategy sessions.
