The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Victoria Ford to the women's basketball team for the 2026-27 season.

"I chose the University of Toronto because of its strong academic reputation and the opportunity to study Linguistics as a pathway toward becoming a speech pathologist," said Ford. "After meeting with Coach Dee, I felt confident that U of T was the perfect fit for me. It offers the ideal balance of high-level academics and the chance to continue my basketball career at the next level while pursuing my long-term career goals."

A 5-foot-10 guard from Brockville, Ford joins the Blues via Thousand Islands Secondary School and St. Lawrence Lightning JUEL.

A well-rounded athlete, Ford has excelled in her high school athletics career. With the basketball team, she helped her squad to an AA OFSAA silver medal in 2025, and has in three consecutive seasons been named team MVP. She has also garnered multiple OFSAA medals in track and field, competing across 11 different events and setting six new school records. This outstanding effort earned her Junior Athlete of the Year twice and Senior Athlete of the Year in 2025. In addition to her high school career, Ford is also a two-time JUEL league all-star and NCASC all-star.

An honour roll student in high school, Ford will study Humanities at U of T starting in the fall.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
