Hali Burns became the Varsity Blues women's basketball program's full-time assistant coach on June 13, 2022.
Burns, who spent her collegiate career playing both in the United States, as well as in Canada, played with Ashland University (NCAA Division II), before coming back north of the boarder to complete her college career at Sheridan College.
A member of the Sheridan College Hall of Fame, Burns finished her collegiate career as a two-time Canadian College Athletic Association all-Canadian, a two-time Ontario College Athletic Association player of the year and a two-time Sheridan College female athlete of the year.
Burns was the head coach of the Brampton Warriors U14, U15, U17 and U19 teams from 2010-18. From there she served in the same role for Excel Hoops Prep., and Kia Nurse Elite. Most recently, she spent two seasons as the head coach for Mohawk College.
