The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of William Tapodi to the men's track and field team for the 2025-26 season.

A 5-foot-9 hurdler from Toronto, Tapodi joins the Blues via the UTTC and Chaminade College School.

In a busy 2025 Tapodi has already competed at the Canadian Track and Field Leagie New Balance Trials,the U20 Ontario Provincial Championships, and the U20 Canadian National Championships. Highlights from the trio of competitions include a silver medal finish in the 400m hurdles at The Trials and a bronze medal result alongside his 4x400m teammates at the U20 national championships.

Representing his high school, Tapodi reach the OFSAA finals in multiple events, garnering track and field MVP honours. Additionally, he was twice named athlete of the year.

An honour roll student, Tapodi is set to enter the kinesiology program at U of T this fall.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
