2026-27 Track and Field / Cross Country Recruiting Class
Biography
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Naysa Woods to the women's track and field and cross country team for the 2026-27 season.
A 5-foot-7 middle distance specialist from Saskatoon, Woods joins the Blues via Riversdale Athletic Club and Centennial High School.
One of Canada's top junior athletes, Woods has excelled both on the track and in the classroom. Most recently claiming a provincial silver medal at the Saskatchewan High School Cross Country Championships, she showcases an ability to make an immediate impact with the Blues. She set a provincial records in the 800m at both the 2025 SHSAA Provincials and CSG Sask Trials. As well, she was the U18 Canadian Indoor National Championships 1500m gold medalist. Her efforts have garnered her Centennial High School Athlete of the Year and Riversdale U16 and U18 Athlete of the Year.
Woods is set to study kinesiology at the University of Toronto beginning next fall.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
