The University of Toronto Varsity Blues are excited to share the commitment of Mason Brennan to the men's track and field team for the 2025-26 season.

A 6-foot-2 multi-event specialist from Ottawa, Brennan joins the Blues via Colonel By Secondary School and the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club.

A standout at both the provincial and national level, Brennen captured decathlon silver in 2024 at the U18 provincial championships and relay gold in 2022 at the U16 national championships. Also displaying leadership, he served as team captain and earned MVP honours with both his high school track and field and basketball teams. The impressive all-around athlete was also a member of the 2025 Ottawa City Basketball Championship squad most recently.

A four-year honour roll student in high school, Brennan is interested in studying chemical engineering at the University of Toronto.

Students who sign a letter of intent and/or commit to Varsity Blues intercollegiate teams will be eligible to play at the University of Toronto provided they are academically admissible and have applied through the normal process with the Ontario Universities Application Centre.
